„BEHIND THIS DOOR“ is a Power Ballad that was actually written a few years ago after a very painful breakup, but it took a while until I felt ready to finish the song. I finally recorded „BEHIND THIS DOOR“ during the Covid19-lockdown in end of 2020.
As its origin suggests, the song is about a hard time after a relationship has ended. The song’s protagonist is facing the fact that the beloved one will not come back and is trying to move on. The phrase „when a door closes, a window opens“ comes into the protagonist’s mind, but what is, if the protagonist is (still) loving the one who is behind this door?

I think what really is cool about Tiny Tree is their approach to playing guitar - something like Grails, but not exactly, more like overall style. That ephemeral buildup, intentionally monotonous at times, undeniable strong vocals. JD Pinkus appears on December, butt (pun intended) I couldn't really notice his input) But the blast in the finishing part of the song is just killer. Recommended Eddie van Helen
